Autometer Ultralite Gauge install

I installed the following 5 Autometer 2 1/16 Ultralite Gauges in my truck:
-Oil Pressure (ATM-
-Oil Temperature (ATM-
-Boost (ATM-
-Transmission Temperature (ATM-
-Voltmeter (ATM-

Observed Readings:
-My supercharged V6 model runs between 25-50psi of oil pressure.
-Boost runs anywhere from -22 to +10
-Transmission temperature. 100-150 degrees in normal driving, not towing anything, with moderate hills. I then added a cooler to the system and have the fluid running at about 105-110 degrees now.
-Oil Temp. Used a bad location for the sender (behind the oil filter housing) and so am not getting accurate readings. When I find the time, I will move this sender to the oil pan. Seeing 100-150 degrees though.

What you'll need for the...
1. Boost gauge - everything included in the kit. Just get wire loom to protect the vacuum line running into the cab through the firewall. Leave plenty of slack in the vacuum line under the dash.

2. Oil temperature gauge - Best place to get this reading would be where there is oil circulating around the sender. This more than likely means the oil pan directly. I wound up teeing this into the same port the oil pressure sender is using.

3. Transmission temperature gauge - I tee'd this in on the hose that attaches to the driver's side of the radiator. This is the transmission output line, coming into the radiator for cooling. This location is probably the most accurate, as it shows what the temperature of the oil is leaving the pan.

I used a 3/8 inch Tee, with two 3/8 inch barb hose fittings and the 3/8 adapter that comes with the gauge. I tefloned all the threads and put the assembly together.

I purchased the 3/8 Tee online from http://www.vichubbard.com. The 2 barb fittings were picked up in the plumbing section of my local hardware store.

NOTE: since the sender's body has to be grounded, I used some wire and ring terminals to accomplish this. See picture.

Here you can see the additional oil cooler I installed to keep the transmission extra cool for those towing days. So far, I've seen a roughly 30-50 degree lowering of the transmission temperature!!

4. Voltmeter - This gauge just needs to be wired in to turn on with the ignition.

5. Oil Pressure- this require some parts. 1.5 inch BPST male to 1/8 NPT female adapter. 1.5 inch NPT to NPT threaded pipe. A 1/8 NPT Tee and a 1/8 NPT male to BPST female adapter..

NPT - North American standard threading is like 28 threads per inch, while BPST - British Standard is 27 threads per inch....THAT'S THE ONLY DIFFERENCE. BPST/BPSP can both be used.

So in total, 5 parts from mcmaster to get this oil pressure sender in, and retain the stock pressure switch as well.
